Thanet Fire Safety Ltd has a passion for fire safety and was established to support the needs of those individuals, businesses and management companies with legal fire safety responsibilities.
Whilst we are based and predominately focused in Thanet, we operate across the county of Kent, and into London. Our sole aim is to offer a professional, attentive, supportive, friendly and importantly, qualified service to our customers.
The core of our work is driven by the demand for high quality fire risk assessments across all premises types. From lower risk shops and offices, communal areas serving residential flats, whether converted or purpose built buildings of all heights, through to higher life risk residential care/ nursing homes and specialized housing.
An important question when making enquiries of any fire safety company prior to the commissioning of work is the matter of 'competence'. Competence is a combination of training, skills, experience and knowledge needed to perform a task safely and effectively.
Thanet Fire Safety Ltd's fire risk assessors are all experienced former fire safety enforcing officers of a local authority fire and rescue service, who possess some of the highest awarding fire safety qualifications available.
Additionally, our fire risk assessors are members of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) and/ or the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE), and invited, following an extensive application process including submission of competence, CPD, resume, portfolio of work and interview, onto their respective publicly viewable national fire risk assessors' registers. All hold Professional Indemnity & Public Liability insurances and are DB checked.
Due to our fire and rescue service fire safety enforcement background, we are often asked to audit and review existing fire risk assessments.
We all too often sadly see, and experience, poor quality and inadequate fire risk assessments conducted by individuals with basic entry level fire qualifications and/ or limited experience, which leave the Responsible Person vulnerable, exposed and with potential costs.
We additionally offer a wider range of fire safety services and where needed can confidently signpost you to our recommended and trusted colleagues and contractors.
